At around 1430 hours, Truck 9 with 5 men and Engine 92 with 4 men were sent to 1's first due at 4017 Hamilton Street for a building fire. The units from 1 arrived on scene with nothing evident, but the wagon and chief had smoke showing from side Charlie of the WSSC building. With the truck assuming first due special service and laddering the building, the wagon stretched a 400' attack line into the basement division with the chief. With the truck opening up and performing a primary, the wagon extinguished all the fire that was in the basement.

     Due to the size of the building, a task force was called to the scene, but they were never utilized. Command held only a few units and company 9 were the last one's to clear at 1707.
