Monday, January 4, 2010 - At 0327 hours, units were alerted to 3401 Dodge Park Road for the apartment fire. Truck 9 with 5 men responded as the Third due special service. Units from Company 33 arrived on the scene of a three/four story garden apartment with fire showing. Truck 9 arrived on the scene and were assigned the Second due duties. The Truck crew gained access through an iron fence and went to work. The 5 men, threw 4 ground ladders and pulled 6 trapped occupants from windows and balcony's. After getting everyone down, the crew completed a search of the second and third floors. Units on the front side pulled an additional 12 civialians from the building. Engine/Tower 33 found a couple rooms off on the Terrace level and had them knocked with-in a couple minutes. The Tower crew pulled a civilian from the stairway and was transported to the hospital.
Engine 92 and Engine 94 (8 Men) responded on the Fire Task Force. Both Engine crews stood fast at Company 33 for 30 minutes. The Truck crew cleared the scene around 0500 hours. All Departments worked together as a team and only one injury was reported.
