Monday, April 23, 2012 0117 Just before 0100 hours, units were alerted to 10111 Riggs Road (Company 41) for the water heater on fire. Units arrived on the scene with fire showing. As units were working, Engine 92 was alerted to fill Company 41. While enroute, a fire task force was sounded. All units were working on knocking fire on the first floor and basement areas of the house. With Riggs Road closed down, the Engine crew was held on the scene to assist with operations. The 5 man crew stretched a 400' line off Engine 11 and went to work in the basement.

The Engine crew worked for 90 minutes opening up and knocking hot spots in several rooms in the basement. A total of 66 firefighters were needed to put the fire under control. Engine 92 cleared the scene at 0305 hours.
