Sunday, August 30, 2009 Monday September 7, 2009 is Labor Day.  Because of the budget crunch and very limited overtime being allowed the County anticipates a "Critical Staffing Shortage" on this day.

We are asking all available operational members of Bladensburg to contact the station with your availability for this day.  Ideally, we would like to staff ALL in service pieces for the 24 hour period.

Please contact Captain Edwards at the station to get your name put on the list.  If you can't do all 24 that is understandable, but anything that you can give will be helpful and appreciated.  Again, we would like to reach a goal of staffing every in service piece, this includes both ambulances so EMS only - come on down and lets have a great day.

UPDATE

The 4th Battalion will be staffed utilizing a full VOLUNTEER contingent of personnel, for the 24 hour period beginning 0700 hours on Monday September 7, 2009 until 0700 hours on Tuesday September 8, 2009 with the exception of the following.

2 Career Shift Personnel will staff station 34

2 Career Paramedics will staff Medic 844

2 Career Personnel ( 1 Medic ) will staff Paramedic Ambulance 855
