 <![CDATA[At 0810 hours, Truck 9 was alerted first due to 4419 39th Street in Bunkerhill, for smoke in the house. Engine 55 arrived on the scene of a two story single, with heavy smoke showing. Truck 9 next to arrive had fire showing from the sides "C &amp;amp; D".Both units pushed in and found a couple rooms off in the rear of Division 1. With the Engine crew knocking fire, the interior crew from Truck 9 searched and opened up. Engine 7 and Truck 1 went to Division 2 finding extension in the knee walls. All units worked for 20 minutes bringing the fire under control. Truck 9 remained on the scene for another two hours opening up and assisting the investigators....]]>

 <![CDATA[Just after 0900 hours, Engine 94 was alerted First due to 4211 28th Street for the house on fire. Chief 55A arrived on the scene of a two story single, with smoke showing from the top floor. Engine 94 arrived and stretched the line up the exterior staircase to the second floor. Engine 94 and Truck 55 found several rooms off with extension to the attic space. It took around 10 minutes to knock all visible fire and start opening up the entire attic space. Crews on the first floor did locate drop down extension and handled it. Crews worked on the scene for an hour before Command scaled the incident back. Chief 9B was the Division two supervisor.  <![CDATA[At 1448 hours, Engine 94 was alerted second due to 1104 Addison Road South for the house on fire. With most of the closest stations on another box alarm, it would take a little while for units to arrive on the scene. Engine Company 38 and Chief 33A &nbsp;arrived on the scene of a two story single, with fire on both floors. Engine 94 arrived and secured 38's water supply and stretched a second line to the rear of the house. Engine crews from 38 and 9, along with Tower Ladder 33 pushed in the rear of the house. Engine 94 had several rooms knocked dowqn on Division one before Command pulled the guys out to go defensive. With several lines flowing from the outside, bulk of the fire was knocked with-in 10 minutes. Command scaled the incident back and Engine 94 cleared the scene at 1745 hours....]]>

 <![CDATA[While&nbsp;the members from Bladensburg were laying "BIG&nbsp;J" to rest, Engine 332 (4 men) was alerted to 415 Clovis Avenue (Company 5) for the house on fire. Units arrived on the scene with smoke showing. After a little "confusion" on the radio, units were directed towards the correct house. Engine 332 picked up Engine 331's line and stretched a line to the basement division. Crews had a small fire which was knocked pretty quick. The crew completed various duties before being released 30 minutes later.The Bladensburg Fire Department thanks the Members from Kentland Fire Department, Waldorf Fire Department, Hyattsville Fire Department, College Park Fire Department and the Laurel Rescue Squad for assisting us with fill in crews during the week....]]>

 <![CDATA[With a fire going on in the 1st Battalion and units on calls, Company 9 was alerted Third due Engine and Second due Truck to 9317 Kimbark Place (Company 48) for the house on fire. CSU 890 arrived on the scene of a one story single, with fire showing. Engine 94 (6 men) arrived on the scene and stretched a line to the first division to assist with operations. Truck 9 (6 men) arrived and assisted with searches, ladders, venting and opening up for the Engine crews. With the ammount of fire showing, Command pulled the troops out to re-group. Companies 28 and 9 stretched two lines back into the house and knocked all fire in about 10 minutes. All Companies worked for another hour opening up before Command started releasing units. Company 9 remained on the scene another 90 inutes assisting investigators. Company cleared the scene at 1900 hours....]]>

 <![CDATA[After cleaning up from the fire prevention detail and lunch, units from the 1st Battalion were working a fire in the Capital Heights area, when the box was sounded for 544 Harry S. Truman Drive for the townhouse on fire. This sent Engine 94 (fourth due) and Truck 9 (second due) total of 10 men to the scene.Engine 6 arrived on the scene of a end unit twonhouse with heavy smoke from the front and rear, and fire showing from the rear. Engine 94 was the next to arrive and was granted permission to handle the 2nd due duties. After securing water supply, the men stretched the 400' line to the top floor and assisted Engine 6 knocking down the rooms involved.Truck 9 was the next to arrive and were assigned 1st due duties. the exterior crew threw several ladders to sides "A&amp;amp;D" and opened up. The interior crews assisted Engine 6 in the bedrooms and Engine 94 knock the entire attic space. Additional units checks exposure "B" which was negative. It took the two lines around 15 minutes to knock all visable fire. Command scaled the incident back to 2 &amp;amp; 2 for overhaul operations and assist the 1500 cars....]]>

 <![CDATA[With not much fire action over the last couple weeks, this was not what we had in mind. Engine Company 37 was alerted to 2001 Ritchie Marlboro Road (Ritchie Land Reclamition) property for the outside fire. Units arrived on the scene with a 400x500x100 foot pile of mulch on fire. Engine 94 was alerted to fill Company 37 and was quickly added to the call. Engine 94 along with half the County flowed water almost 5 hours, before having the fire under control. Engine 94 cleared the scene around 0345 hours, and took almost 2 hours to get her all cleaned up....]]>

 <![CDATA[&nbsp;Bladensburg Volunteers are accepting sealed bids for the sale of Truck 9. &nbsp;Minimum bid is $125,000.00 and must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "truck bid" by 1900 hours on Thursday July 25, 2013. &nbsp;Bids will be opened on Friday July 26, 2013 at 1900 hours. &nbsp;Winner does not need to be present at bid opening. &nbsp;10% down is required and due within 7 days of acceptance of bid, as security with remaining amount due at delivery. &nbsp;The 10% is non refundable. &nbsp;Truck is currently in service and will be available as we place our new truck in service, but in no event , later than January 2, 2014. &nbsp;The Bladensburg Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all bids at its sole discretion and without reason. &nbsp;Truck has been well maintained throughout its life and currently meets or exceeds all required certifications.Current Mileage is 90,773. &nbsp; It is a 1992 Seagrave "J" cab, 100' aerial with a 8V92 Detroit Diesel / 515 Horsepower Engine. &nbsp;It is a single axle truck with one set of outriggers.
